Projects for Renault – France and Brazil

Location: Le Havre, France
Project: Competition for the New Projects Development Centre
Surface: 35 000 m2
Date: 1995
Role: Architect
Status: Completed

Our winning competition-entry for the new projects development center in Le Havre was built in an abandoned industrial section of Renault’s prestigious manufacturing plant. We created a village composed of various quarters around a central square open to the sky. The “butterfly” section developed from the decision to retain both the seven meter high 1960’s curtain wall which provides a view across the chalk cliffs of the Seine and the seven meter high glass façade.
